"The performance in Oak Park was outstanding and delightful
in a thousand ways.  An imaginative creation with narration
between scenes and talent found at each turn of the page, splendid acting, heavenly voices, and a treat for the all the senses."

"The Arcada Theatre transforms Into La Scala for A Special Night, as Grand Opera Arrives in St. Charles"  Suburban Journals of Chicago

Hats off to Mr. Onesti, for having the love of music and the
dedication to bring this wonderful production to the far
western suburbs.  St. Charles has many things, and it had
many things in the  past, though this is probably the first
Grand Opera to play in its downtown region.  The trio of Christine Steyer, Franco Martorana, and Paul Geiger is hard
to beat, especially when they are performing in "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi.  This fine ensemble of singers, staged, edited, and created narration to accompany the arias and
story of the young lovers in the Paris of olde.

The Arcada had a nice sound to it, especially when filled
with such lovely voices.  Franco Martorana is one of the
leading tenors on today's Opera scene, his voice is one of,
if not the finest in world.  Christine Steyer is a young diva
with a beautiful and versatile soprano voice. Christine's
on stage presence was treat to behold.  Paul Geiger is able
to easily transform from narrator to performer with a few
steps and the dimming of a light, his vocal talent is strong
and commanding.

La Traviata keeps getting better and better, as this fine
ensemble treats audiences to some of the best loved of all
Operas.

We can only hope that Mr. Onesti was as pleased as the
audience and that he continues in this fine tradition of
art for the residents of St. Charles and the surrounding
area.
