Photo Album of the Garden Club of Oak Park
and River Forest and the Friends of the
Oak Park Conservatory for 2001

Lindberg Park in Oak Park is host to a garden featuring
many indigenous plants to Illinois.

An award was presnted to the Garden Club of Oak Park
and River Forest for their work with Wildflowers.

Butterflies like wildflowers, as information on the
panels informs visitors of the different plants and the
butterflies that like them best.

In yards where area is at a premium, the skills of design and
placement becomes a necessity.  Often the results demanded by
the project yield some wonderful returns.

A small pond in this yard is kept in perfect balance by its' owner.
The goldfish are small in both size and number and this requires no
work on the part of the owner.  The ponds grows algae for the fish
and the insects that fall in provide additional nutrition for the goldfish.

This is another photo of the pond from above.  We would give
this location high marks for a wonderful job of serene design.

Another yard facing the problem of size has brought scale
and design to its' owner yielding a small "Shangri-La"
