Snowmobiling
in the National Forest, the Mountains, and in the Powder
West Yellowstone behind us the snow is beautiful and fresh powder is everywhere.

As the winter continues the snow may increase another
ten or more feet deep, sometimes making the trees look
like bushes.

The power of these new sleds will enable them to almost climb a tree if you had a desire to. These 2 stroke deep powder sleds have more depth in their treads and hence greater grip in any snow.

Now some 30 miles from West Yellowstone there is a rest area with
facilities near a winding river and lush scenery everywhere.

Looking back on these photos now the scenes look like they
belong in a snow globe, but if you were there they could also
be in your memories. I was plenty warm with the clothes that
I had rented and the newest sleds have hand warmers that will
keep your hands more than warm enough. I would suggest that
if you are not an avid snowmobiler that you exercise your right
thumb just to get it into condition-since it is also your way of
applying the throttle.
